Chalkboard Technique

Hi Bloggers! It's Monday again, and another long week ahead.
This week I have my Stamper's Club group on Wednesday and I can't wait to show them what I have planned for them.... I will post later this week after they have made the projects.

So Sale-a-Bration starts this week and I am showcasing another card using the Feeling Sentimental stamp set. I am really liking this set... And it's FREE! There's nothing better than that!
I am curious though, what criteria do you use when purchasing your stamp sets? Is it just love of the image? Or value that you get in the set.. say more stamps in the set for a good price? Do you figure out how many different ways that you could use the set to get the most value? I would love your feedback so leave me a comment. I just purchase them based on what I like, no thought process here! LOL

So here's my card today using the Chalkboard Technique...

A Magical Birthday

Wow! I can't believe it's the end of another month, and the kids are headed back to school again. I find it amazing how life seems to fly by now. Pretty soon I will be back at the rink with hockey and skating.

Today's card is designed based on this week's Mojo Monday sketch #256

And I made this card for a friend of mine who was having a birthday this week and she is a HUGE Disney fan! I hope you like it.

Terryfic Tips:
  • When using an overlay, try to attach it to your project behind other layers so it isn't noticeable.
  • Use the corner of a square punch to create the flag ends on your paper.
  • Mat your glimmer paper to "ground" it.

Thought Provoking

Hi all! Hope your week has started off well.
I read an interesting article last week at Scrapbook Update about the Amazon Effect and how it relates to the scrapbooking industry. If you are in a scrapbooking business I think it is very informative and might hopefully give you some new insights. And if you are just a consumer... how do you feel it relates to you and do you agree with the conclusions? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. The article can be found here. Please leave me a comment below.

Today's project is a card that I created taking inspiration from a manufacturers advertisement. The supplies are listed below.

Teacher Thank You

We are now into June and hopefully some summer weather is also on it's way. If you have read my post of last week, I have a summer manifesto that I am looking forward to using to make my summer a fabulous one.
Today I am sharing a card that can be used as a year end card to give to your favorite teacher. I used the Honeycomb Shape technique to make the apple and Mojo Monday sketch #243 for the card. Here is the sketch.....

and here is the card....

And don't forget to join me for a Card Buffet on Saturday June 9.
