Happy Mother's Day

Hey there Stampers!

I was so grateful after a long winter to have a fabulously warm Saturday to enjoy. Sunday was rainy and cold but it was a good  day to cuddle up inside for a quiet day while my husband and daughter went off to Comic Con for the day. What did you do this weekend?

Today's card was CASE'd from the catalogue. I used the Shimmery Embossing Paste on the background, and I made a stencil of my own using the Detailed Floral Dies and a Window Sheet.

My Swag!

Hey there Stampers!

There's a lot of perks to being a Stamping' Up! demonstrator. And one of my favourites is the opportunity to attend demonstrator only events like OnStage.

At OnStage we are lucky enough to get to work with some of the new products.... and we get to go home with FREE GIFTS! So awesome!

So I wanted to share a picture of the reversible bag and swag that I came home with.

(did you notice the cool lightbox! and the new catalogue!)

Barn Door Wagon

Hey there Stampers!

Oh my goodness, it feels like it's been a crazy week. And it's only half done LOL. I think I need to get out and enjoy some sunshine in the next few days and de-stress. #GOALS!

Today's card was inspired by something I saw from another demonstrator. I'm sorry, I can't remember who it was right now. Anyway, I just love the idea of using the Barn Door stamp and Thinlit die as a wagon. Genius! The background is just a quick watercolour wash using an Aqua Painter.

Stamp 'N Hop - April Blog Hop

Hey there Stampers!
Thank you for joining me for April's Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop. I'm sure that you are going to find some great inspiration from the wonderfully creative Stampin' Up! demonstrators as you follow along with us.

This month's theme is Annual Catalogue Favourites. For today's project I chose a card that I made with my Stamper's Club and also used as my swap for Stamping' Up! OnStage in Red Deer last weekend. It features the Black Ice technique created by Melissa Kerman.
This is a very easy technique that provides stunning results. In this project I used Silver Foil paper, and lightly dragged the Black Archival ink down the piece, then stamped the images using the Butterfly Basics stamp set. Allow this to dry then drag a versa mark pad lightly down the foil piece. Emboss with Clear Embossing powder. And voila!

And don't forget... If you love the Butterfly Basics stamp set, make sure you order now as it is retiring  on May 31and is only available while supplies last.

I hope you liked the card and don't forget to scroll down to the "Next" button to get to the next Stamp 'N Hop blog.
