Rose Wonder

Hey there Bloggers!

Happy Spring! It's finally warming up a little and I can see the sun. I can't wait until this snow melts!

Today's card is the last of my Brusho series. This is a card that we made at one of my Stamper's Clubs. We took the Moss Green Brusho Crystals and sprinkled some into a small container. Then added some water and mixed them together. To create the background, we brushed the coloured water onto the cardstock background using a foam brush. Then the rose was embossed onto a piece of watercolour paper using White Embossing Powder and coloured in using the Brusho Crystals and AquaPainters. The rose was cut out and adhered to the card front using dimensionals.

Rose Garden

Hey there Bloggers!

Wow it's been a whirlwind start to the month. I am actually on vacation until next week. Last week Blair had a seminar for work in Niagara Falls and as it happened to fall during my vacation time, we decided to meet up with him once his training was done. We had a great time taking in the falls as well as some surrounding areas for a few days.

This week I am back and trying to get some things accomplished before I have to go back to work on Monday. One of those things is to catch up with my blog posts. I have been so remiss with these.

Today's card is one that I made a couple of months ago actually and it features the Rose Garden Thinlits. I also outlined the inside of the rose with some pearl accent. I'm not sure the picture does it justice, the card is really pretty IRL.

White Craft Ink Watercolour

Hey there Bloggers! Hope you all had a good weekend and that Monday was good start to your week this week. We have spent the weekend moving our daughter back home from Lethbridge. And taking in the Home and Garden show.

Today's card is one that we made a little while ago in the Stamper's Club. It features the White Craft Ink Watercolour technique. To be honest, this isn't my favourite card but the technique is definitely cool. Basically you emboss your image in white embossing powder, then color in the image using an Aqua Painter and white craft ink. Once the white ink is dry, colour over it using your choice of ink colour and an Aqua Painter. Once it was all completed I highlighted the rose in Dazzling Details.
