Stampin' Connection Card Sketch Challenge

It's Thursday! One day closer to the weekend. Alexis is at the rink today testing her skills and dances. I hope that she will pass both today. Then skating is done until September! Woohoo, three weeks of no skating! LOL
Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Stampin' Connection Card Sketch Challenge. I chose to keep this card simple because it will work very well for a Card Buffet. I intend to make a more embellished/advanced card of the same and will post once it is done.
This is the sketch....

And this is my card...

Another Playing in Paradise card

Hi all! It's Wednesday, half way through the week. I'm back at work this week and very tired so I have been finding it very difficult to hit my craft room and create anything. Today I made a conscious effort to go downstairs as soon as I got home. It didn't work out too badly, I managed to get 2 cards done. But I kept getting distracted by the hail pounding the house.
Here is the second card I made for the Playing in Paradise Challenge #27 - Using Stencils. So I pulled out my Mostly Vintage stencil for the background. Then I punched out a border using the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch and I cut one of the doilies from the punched border to go in the middle of the stenciling. Of course I had to add some bling. A little ribbon and we're done. Oh...I forgot the embossed mat using Framed Tulips Embossing folder.

Stencil Challenge

Welcome to the weekend! Banff yesterday was gorgeous as usual and it was very nice to get away for the day. Today I am cleaning up and getting ready for my Aunt and Uncle to come over for a bbq tonight. They have been staying in Calgary for the last month but will be leaving next weekend.
The card for today is for the Playing in Paradise Challenge. The challenge was to use a stencil. So this card was made using the Mostly Vintage stencil. I put a piece of Sticky Sheet onto some Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then I placed the positive part of the stencil onto the Sticky cardstock. I spread embossing powder over the rest of the cardstock and heated. Then I removed the stencil and put the negative image of the stencil onto the image that wasn't embossed and is still sticky. I then burnished some burgandy and green glitter onto the sticky paper. Then I embellished and created the card.
I hope that you enjoy!
