A Christmas Gift For You

I just had an experience a few moments ago with someone who was selling a product. The item had a price sticker on it (in the picture) and someone was interested in it but did not notice the price, so asked how much. I was also interested and had noticed the price. I posted that I would take the item if the first buyer did not. The seller then came back and quoted a higher price. I could be wrong about the situation, but my take on it is that the seller increased the price because she had more interest. Personally, I am not willing to give my money to someone who would do that. If the seller was legitimately selling the item at the higher price then why leave the sticker with the lower price in the picture. So I posted that I had seen the original price and I was no longer interested. I am interested to hear your thoughts. How would you feel about a situation like this?  Has this ever happened to you?

Today's project is a cute little carrier. Which as luck would have it, someone actually named it Cute Carrier. Not sure if it has another name, but the project is cute none the less. I thought that it would be perfect for those Coffee gift cards that we all give as gifts at Christmas. There are several variations that I can think of for it, which makes it a great project in my opinion. And because I made a Christmas one, it fits in nicely with this week's Playing in Paradise challenge. Oh, and by the way, the holder also includes a small decorated cup inside which I hadn't finished when I took the picture.

  1. Fabulous project Terry, the poinsettia is beautiful. I agree with you, I would be unhappy withe seller for shady price changing too. Thank you for Playing in Paradise this week.

  3. Oh, I love this project! So neat & elegant with the neutrals :) So glad you could play along with us this week in Paradise!
As for your seller experience...I would have done just as you did. Raising the price is just not how it's done - start higher than you think you'll get, go lower...but you never boost the price like that. It's not an auction, buddy.
