Swirly Bird

Hey there Stampers! It's Monday! Make it a great week!

Today's card was CASE'D from Melissa. Such a great card featuring the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles dies, as well as the Stitched Shapes dies (these are unfortunately no longer available).

The background dots were stamped from the Swirly Bird stamp set using Smoky Slate ink. The swirl die was then attached to the back of the Stitched Shape square and trimmed from the centre of the square. The flowers were stamped with Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst ink, with the leaves in Smoky Slate. They were all die cut and attached to the card using dimensionals with one flower peeking out from under the frame. And last but not least add a little bling.

All the products I used on my card are listed below. Just click on the image to be taken to my website for easy ordering.

Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop - Masculine

Hey there Stampers!

Thanks for popping over to my blog for August's Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop. I know that you're going to find some great inspiration from the wonderfully creative Stampin' Up! demonstrators as you follow along with us. If you just came from Sue's blog, I'm sure you were as impressed as I am with her talent.

This month's theme is masculine cards. Now I didn't happen to have any current masculine stamp sets, so I decided to go with the Baby Wipe technique and Collage background. Then I used the Swirly Scribbles and Celebrate You Thinlits.

For the Baby Wipe technique, you just take some re-inker and put a drop or two on your baby wipe. Then just dab, swipe, and smoosh it onto your cardstock.

Please be sure to continue the blog hop and stop over at Susan's blog She has a great project to share with you.  All the participants in this month’s Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop are listed at the bottom of the page.

All the products I used on my card are listed below. Just click on the image to be taken to my website for easy ordering.

Shout Out Sunday!

Hey there Bloggers!

So today is Shout Out Sunday! This is where I post cards that I have seen on the "inter-web" that have inspired me and give a shout out to the creator of that project.

So, I am not American, I am Canadian. But I have been very impressed with the various cards that have been made using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits to celebrate July 4th which is coming up shortly.

Celebrate!

Hey there Bloggers!

It’s finally Friday!! And of course it’s grocery day LOL

Other than groceries and some cleaning up I don’t think we have a lot of plans for this weekend. Maybe that’s a good thing. Hopefully I will be able to get downstairs to work on some stamping projects.

Today’s card is probably my favourite from the Stamper’s Club projects that we did this month. The idea came from some other demonstrators. The washi tape is retired but I felt that the colours fit in with my vision for the card. Enjoy!

Glitter Splatter

Hey there Bloggers!

It’s Wednesday! Half through the week.

Today I have to be in the office for a meeting. I have to admit that it’s very hard to get up and actually get out of the house to go to work. I much prefer working from home LOL. At least tonight I will be hanging out with my favourite ladies for dinner. It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten together, so I am really looking forward to some catching up.

Today’s card once again features the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles thinlits. It also features some of the new In Colors. I really like this combination, it’s very cheerful. On this card we also used the Glitter Splatter technique.

Swirly Scribbles

Hey there Bloggers!

Last week was my final Stamper’s Club for this season. It’s been a great 8 months and I am looking forward to starting up again in October.

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, we get to pre-order certain items from the new catalogues before it is released. For this pre-order, I ordered the Swirly Bird stamp set and the Swirly Scribbles thinlits. I wasn’t very sure what to do with this bundle. But after some inspiration from other demonstrators, I think I will like this set.  I was on holidays so I didn’t really get too much of a chance to play with the set, but over the next few days I will be featuring projects that we did at last week’s Stampers Club.

Today’s project is more of a vintage style card. The inspiration came from a few different cards that I have seen.
