ATC Swap Part 2 - Favourite Retiring Product

Yesterday I posted the first set of ATC's from the "Say goodbye to your favourite retiring product" swap that I participated in. Today is more ATC's that I received. Enjoy!

An ATC is an Artist Trading Card that are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 cards made for the purpose of experimentation, fun and trading! Using Stamping' Up!® supplies to create little works of art is so much fun. And if you want, these can be used to make a full size card.

I was lucky enough to be involved in an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap in May with some other Stamping' Up! Demonstrators. The theme of this swap was "Say goodbye to your favourite retiring product". These are just some of the swaps that I received.

Butterfly Floating Frame

hey there Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

Today's card features the Floating Frame technique and the Butterfly Gala Bundle. This technique has been very popular online lately and I've made a few more cards that I'll share soon.

for this technique you will need some Glad Press 'N Seal and lots of dimensionals!

First I stamped a bunch of butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set onto Whisper White scrap paper. I coloured them with Stampin' Blends then punched them out using the Butterfly Duet punch.

At this point I placed all the punched out butterflies onto a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Whisper White cardstock. They are not glued down just placed. Take a piece of Press 'N Seal and use your embossing buddy to get some of the stickiness off it. Once you have the butterflies where you want them, take the piece of Press 'N Seal and place it over the cardstock piece to hold everything in place. Trim everything to the edges of the cardstock so nothing is hanging over. 

Carefully move it to your Big Shot and use the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut out the centre. Next turn your frame over and peel away the cardstock. Add dimensionals to each of the butterflies. Now you can carefully place your frame onto your card front. Slowly and carefully remove the Press 'N Seal from the front of the frame. 

I stamped the sentiment from the Painted Glass stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Adhere this in the middle of your frame.

Butterfly Stepper Box #2

Hey there Stampers! Thanks for stopping by today!

Last week I showed you a Stepper Box that we had made in my Stamper's club. Today I wanted to show you another one made with the Botanical Butterfly DSP.

Supplies that you will need to make this box....

- 1 piece of 11" x 6 1/8" cardstock for the main part of the box. Score along the long side at 2 1/4", 4 1/2", 6 3/4" & 9″

- 1 piece of 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" cardstock for the lid.  First, pull the cardstock out slightly from the side of the scoreboard and score at 1″ & 2″ then push the cardstock back into place and score at  4 1/4" & 5 1/4", rotate cardstock and repeat. By doing this it will make the lid slightly larger allowing a nice snug fit.

- 4 pieces of 5 1/8" x 5 1/8" cardstock for the boxes.  Score at 1 1/2" on all 4 sides.

- 12 pieces of 2″ x 1 3/8" DSP  to mat all of the boxes.

- 1 piece of 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" DSP to mat the top of the lid.

 - 4 pieces of 2 1/8" x 3/4" DSP to mat the sides of the lid.

8 pieces of 2″ x 5 7/8" DSP and 2 pieces of 1 3/4" x 5 7/8" to mat both sides of the case. As your DSP is double sided, you can use one side for the outside of the box and one side for the inside of the box.
