Journey to Silver Elite Blog Hop

Hey there Stampers!

Welcome back and if it's your first time, thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to the Journey to Silver Elite Blog Hop. If you are following along, you probably just got here from Xenia's blog.

I'm Terry from Airdrie, Alberta, Canada

For this card I was looking through the July to December Mini Catalogue and I saw a sample card that I liked. I didn't have that particular stamp set so I substituted the Snow Wonder stamp set and dies. And I CASE'd the catalogue! This is a great way to get inspiration when needed, and sometimes although you may start out with one idea the final card may not turn out looking anything like your inspiration card.

The snowflakes were embossed in white on the vellum and the sentiment was stamped randomly on the background. Add some sequins and voila!

Floating Strip

 Hey there Stampers!

Welcome back and if it's your first time, thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. If you are following along, you probably just got here from Tina's blog.

Today's card features the floating strip technique with the In Good Taste DSP. This is a simple card that uses the Many Messages bundle for the sentiment and circles from the Picture This and the Layering Circle dies. I also used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to give more texture to the front of the card. This would be perfect as a masculine card.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you enjoyed the project. Please click on the Blog Roll or the image below to hop along with the others.

Love Laughter and Joy

 hey there Stampers!

It is crazy how easily time gets away from you. I can't believe that it's already 3 weeks into May.
This card was one of the Stampers Club cards for last month. For this card I used the Golden Garden DSP. If you notice that the acetate is gold, just turn it over and the image is white/silver on the other side :) this gives you options! I actually used Rococo Rose cardstock on this card, but it has since retired. Any other colour that you may have will work also

Happy Father's Day

 Hey there Stampers! Happy Monday!

Today's card is one that I was working on a few weeks ago. It features the Well Suited Suite. For this card, I embossed the sentiments onto the cardstock piece using white embossing powder and added a tag and some twine. This was a very simple card for Father's Day.

Don't forget that the Well Suited Suite is available until June 30. Message me to order 😄

Thursday Tip

 Thursday Tip:

A great tip from last year from one of the Artisan Design team members. Check this out!
From #ArtisanDesignTeam member Manuela Geiswinkler (@manuela.geisi): "Today I want to show you how to use dies for heat embossing, so you get a very soft impression. Step 1: I fix the die onto an acrylic block with Glue Dots and add VersaMark ink. Step 2: I use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat to stamp the impression on my paper and sprinkle the Stampin' Emboss Powder over the image. Step 3: Now I heat the image with our Heat Tool. It’s quite fun, because you can use any die as a stamp!“
