Mountain Air

Hey there Stampers!

Thanks for stopping by on this Monday! Today's card is from my recent masculine card class. It features the new Mountain Air bundle and was CASED from the catalogue.

The mountains were stamped with Pool Party ink and the trees were stamped with Basic Black. Then the tree stamp was turned over and stamped with Gray Granite. The sentiment was embossed on Calypso Coral cardstock and the moon was stamped with Calypso Coral onto white cardstock and then punched out with a 1/2" circle punch. A cut was made across one side of the moon and it was then adhered beside the mountain.

Geared Up Garage

Hey there Stampers! Happy Friday!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Today's card is from my Made For Men class a few weeks ago. It features the Geared Up Garage stamp set and dies.

For this card I started by stamping the blotches from the stamp set in black ink randomly onto the card front. I then added a strip of the Geared Up Garage DSP (this is discontinued now, but you could make your own DSP using stamps from the set). I then stamped the bolts onto the card front with Smoky Slate ink, and added a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock on top of the DSP strip. The car was stamped in Pretty Peacock and die cut. I added some of the discontinued string behind the circle and attached to the card front using dimensionals. I added the car to the circle. I then stamped the sentiment in Whisper White ink onto a black strip of cardstock and attached it to the front of the circle just under the car.

Vellum Tulips

Hey there Stampers! How's your week going?

Today's card is the last one from our Stamper's Club last month. This card uses vellum and the Timeless Tulips bundle.

For this card, we embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. The tulips were stamped onto vellum with Rich Razzleberry ink and then punched out with the Tulip punch. The stems were stamped onto vellum and fussy cut. A tip for you - when you are stamping on the vellum allow sufficient time to dry. And when added liquid glue to attach your stem or to attach the flower to the card, make sure that you are putting the glue onto the backside of the paper (the non-stamped side), as otherwise the glue re-wets the ink and makes it smear.  The birthday sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and punched out with the Classic Label punch. I then added some sequins.

Embedded Embossing

Hey there Stampers! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great week planned

Today's card is another one from our Stamper's Club a couple of weeks ago. This card features embedded embossing.

We started by watercolouring some Watercolouring paper with Elegant Eggplant, Coastal Cabana, and Pacific Point reinkers with an Aquapainter. Once the paper is dry, we cut out some circles using the Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes dies. We then stamped Hello radomly in black ink. The circles were adhered to a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then the piece was embossed entirely with the Subtle embossing folder. I don't think that you can see it very well in the picture, but this process pushes the circles into the paper slightly and also embosses them with the cardstock piece that they are adhered to, which is a cool effect.
The tulips, leaves, were stamped and punched out. The stems were stamped and fussy cut. Theses were placed on the card front using dimensionals. A bow from Linen Thread was then added to the flowers.
