Vellum Tulips

Hey there Stampers! How's your week going?

Today's card is the last one from our Stamper's Club last month. This card uses vellum and the Timeless Tulips bundle.

For this card, we embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. The tulips were stamped onto vellum with Rich Razzleberry ink and then punched out with the Tulip punch. The stems were stamped onto vellum and fussy cut. A tip for you - when you are stamping on the vellum allow sufficient time to dry. And when added liquid glue to attach your stem or to attach the flower to the card, make sure that you are putting the glue onto the backside of the paper (the non-stamped side), as otherwise the glue re-wets the ink and makes it smear.  The birthday sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and punched out with the Classic Label punch. I then added some sequins.

Embedded Embossing

Hey there Stampers! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great week planned

Today's card is another one from our Stamper's Club a couple of weeks ago. This card features embedded embossing.

We started by watercolouring some Watercolouring paper with Elegant Eggplant, Coastal Cabana, and Pacific Point reinkers with an Aquapainter. Once the paper is dry, we cut out some circles using the Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes dies. We then stamped Hello radomly in black ink. The circles were adhered to a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then the piece was embossed entirely with the Subtle embossing folder. I don't think that you can see it very well in the picture, but this process pushes the circles into the paper slightly and also embosses them with the cardstock piece that they are adhered to, which is a cool effect.
The tulips, leaves, were stamped and punched out. The stems were stamped and fussy cut. Theses were placed on the card front using dimensionals. A bow from Linen Thread was then added to the flowers.

Tulips Embossed

Hey there Stampers! Happy Monday!

Today's card features the Timeless Tulips stamp set. The card was CASE'd from the annual catalogue.

Heat Emboss the tulips, leaves and stems with White Embossing Powder, onto a white cardstock panel. The embossing buddy was not used so that there would be some white embossing splatters throughout the project. The sky was blended and then the grass. I started with Coastal Cabana and then would add in Balmy to make the blue not quite so bright. I did the same idea for the grass. I started at the bottom and worked up to where the sky left off. I started with Granny Apple Green and then worked in Pear Pizzazz. I splattered the card with a Bermuda Bay re-inker/aquapainter mixture by holding the brush end against the lid and flicking down towards the paper. I cleaned off the aqua painter all the way and then splattered water. I added some Linen Thread and the sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock and punched out with the Story Label punch. Some In Colour Faceted dots were added to the card front and the panel was adhered to the Coastal Cabana card base.
